Who We Are
CU Café is run by and for graduate students and postdocs at CU Boulder. CU Café was founded in 2015 and we have increased our membership to include minority STEM graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty from 22 different departments. We are supported by two faculty advisors from the Physics and Environmental Studies departments within the College of Arts and Sciences. CU affiliated students, faculty and staff interested in promoting inclusivity, inclusion and diversity, and connecting with individuals committed to STEM scholarship, are welcome to join our group.

"I joined CU Cafe in the spring of 2021 during my first year. I have been serving on the leadership team since Spring of 2022 and I really hope that others will join to make this organization a powerful agent of change at CU again! My research focuses on bacterial immune systems and how bacteria protect themselves against the threats they face. Outside of the lab, I'm just a big theatre kid who loves hanging out with friends, cooking, hiking, and watching movies. Please reach out if you have any questions about CU Cafe, or just grad school in general!"
